Event summary

Driven by the principles embraced by the European Medicines Regulatory Network in the European veterinary big data strategy 2022-2027, the European Medicines Agency is organising a second annual forum on big data to foster collaboration and engage stakeholders.

This second edition will continue the discussion on Big Data in veterinary medicines regulation by presenting progress made since the first forum in June 2021.

During this event, concrete use cases will be presented to stakeholders. The proposed use cases will be based on data and knowledge gathered in the context of the Veterinary Medicines Regulation (EU) 2019/06, aiming to explore the potential offered by data-driven advanced analytical solutions in the area of veterinary medicinal product information, pharmacovigilance and antimicrobial resistance.

This event is an opportunity for veterinary stakeholders to:

  • voice their needs;
  • outline current initiatives;
  • illustrate key requirements and challenges when presented with specific use cases.

The outcome of the forum will contribute to identify a prioritised list of initiatives that can inform the work plan on the implementation of the Big Data strategy in the veterinary domain for the coming years.

Participants will be able to engage and ask questions to a panel representing the views of regulators, industry, academia and animal health practitioners.

The forum will be broadcast live on this web page and a video recording of the event will be made available after the event.
