HMPC status report

This report by the Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC) documents the progress made implementing the simplified registration procedure for traditional herbal medicinal products since the Herbal Directive came into force.

It was sent to the European Commission in October 2006 as a contribution to their 'Report on the experience acquired as a result of the application of the provisions of Chapter 2a of Directive 2001/83/EC (introduced by Directive 2004/24/EC) on specific provisions applicable to traditional herbal medicinal products'.

Table 1 (overview of applications under the simplified registration procedure) and the annexes have been updated and are published under 'related content'.
