Concept paper for the revision of residues guidelines to align with the definitions for withdrawal periods provided in Regulation (EU) 2019/6 - Scientific guideline

Regulation (EU) 2019/6 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on veterinary medicinal products and repealing Directive 2001/82/EC entered into force on 28 January 2019 and is applicable from 28 January 2022 onwards.

Article 4 of this regulation introduces a new definition for withdrawal period (WP), differing from the definition currently used in residues guidelines. This new definition triggers a revision of the relevant residues guidelines.
