Antimicrobials Working Party

The Antimicrobials Working Party (AWP) provides advice to the Committee for Veterinary Medicinal Products (CVMP) on matters concerning the use and authorisation of antimicrobials.
Responsibilities and composition
The AWP's responsibilities include providing recommendations on the development of guidelines on antimicrobial resistance, at the CVMP’s request.
The working group's work plan contains relevant tasks identified in the CVMP's work plan.

The AWP is composed of European experts nominated and appointed by CVMP. Additional observers may also attend meetings if required.
